As you may or may not have already noticed, I have tried to make this website “family friendly”. I’m not sure what the ages of the viewers of “Scott Doesn’t Know You” are but I’d like people of all ages to be able to enjoy the site. While I can’t control what people say on the Internet, I can control the way that it is displayed on this website. This was one of the first things that I had in mind when I was developing “Scotty Doesn’t Know You”.

I have set up a script to censor as many swears as possible. Instead of seeing the “F” word, you will see asterisks (****) instead. Trying to account for all the ways a swear can be spelled/sounded out is very hard. This feature wasn’t that hard to implement once I had coded it. If you mention my name on Twitter and swear, your tweet will automatically be censored and then entered into the database of tweets.

This feature isn’t perfect, but I am continuing to update it. I hope to eventually be able to cover every swear in the English language but that probably isn’t going to be possible.

Stay tuned for more enhancements in the near future!
